Abstract :
This recent article deals with language, cognition and human body. It revolves around studying the way in which the localization and the spatial extension of the objects are expressed in speech through the different parts of the human body. For this purpose, we focus our attention on corpus made of a set of body language in both French and Moroccan Arabic dialect to enrich and deepen our reflection on the localist thesis. Moreover, thanks to the body, the human being constructs symbolic conceptions and spatial representations that finds its origin in our bodily ego and from the reality of experience.
