Abstract :
The reconstruction of the cities has come out in the postmodern period in which a lot of changes emerged. Today, the cities are no longer just the ordinary places of everyday life, but also have become tourist attractions meeting the individuals’ needs and desires, such as shopping, entertainment, sightseeing, etc. Thus, tourism activities have been transformed into the activities which can be carried out every time and everywhere regardless of time and space. The purpose of this study is to make assessments on the reflections of hyperreality applications in tourism. In this context, the reflections of hyper reality applications in tourism have been examined in the framework of the discourse the end of tourism and the theoretical basis of this discourse was also discussed. As a result, in this study discussing the applications of hyperreality in theoretical perspectives, it is emphasized that the generally accepted definitions of tourism should have been questioned.
