Abstract :
Manisa, one of the leading provinces of the Aegean Region, contributes to national economy with its production capability and to the export of the country with its international marketing ability. Its industrial infrastructure, organized industrial zones, R D centers, technology development zone and qualified workforce support productivity especially in industry and innovation fields. Integration to international markets is mainly achieved through the export of technology-intensive products and agricultural products, which are the outputs of the electrical, electronic products, automotive subsidiary and air-conditioning industries. Manisa, which owns forty-five foreign direct investors, including thirty-nine in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, also enjoys the advantage of international know-how and technology transfer thanks to global companies. With its competitive investment climate, it has been chosen as “the most cost effective city” that can be invested in Europe, twice by fdiMagazine. With this study, firstly Manisa s place in the national economy will be evaluated, the foreign investments that Manisa has hosted will be introduced, the acceleration observed in export volume by years will be analyzed based on product group and volume, finally the dynamics of Manisa as an investment center will be explored and it will be photographed panoramically.
