Title Of Article :
Some physical and chemical properties of soil profiles under the forest, pasture and meadow vegetation in Kuzgun Dam Lake Basin
Abstract :
In this study, according to the land use around Erzurum Province Kuzgun Dam Lake hydrological function of forests, meadows and pasture lands determined the some physical and chemical characteristics. Research area is located Erzurum Province Aziziye (Ilıca) district 60 km north-west and located within the boundaries of the Upper Fırat basin was carried out around Kuzgun Dam Reservoir. The research on the existing land use map for the group of slope 0-5% according to the forest, meadow and pasture areas, and 15 units designated sites will open profile opened. After delineating the profiles of soil samples taken from layers impaired, the physical analysis (soil texture, aggregate stability and hydraulic conductivity) and chemical analysis (soil reaction, lime content, organic matter content, cation exchange capacity, exchangeable cations and electrical conductivity) was conducted on these samples. pH, ratio of aggregate stability, organic matter content and in terms of the EC values of soil samples, taken from meadow area were higher than forest and pasture areas. Forest and meadow soils of pH, organic matter and the EC.content was found to be indistinguishable from each other in terms of values Organic matter in soil profiles decreased regularly with depth from the surface layer was identified.
