Determining of Fish Meat Consumption Habits in Besikduzu District of Trabzon Province
Abstract :
That fish consumption in Turkey is not at the desired level against by many experts emphasized the importance of the fish in human nutrition and surrounded with sea on three sides. Fish consumption is a little better only the coastal of sea or near to the fresh water supply in the region. Per capita fish consumption is an average of 7.65 kg in Turkey, per capita fish consumption is was approximately twice average of Turkey in the research region. Per capita fish consumption about 30 kg in the developed countries. Per capita fish consumption in the research region is half the average of per capita fish consumption of developed countries. The majority of households in the region are reluctant to eat processed fish consumption and fish restaurants. Fish consumption of consumer in this region can be increased taking into account the characteristics of the consumers and to increase the anchovy, bonito and whiting in fishing season and trout in every season which in location, shape and time of consumers wants is delivery. In addition, the company that markets canned fish to consumers with fish restaurant are required to work will be of interest to consumers. Apart from this company that takes into account with a marketing approach the demographic, social and cultural characteristics of the households can be increased fish consumption in this area.
