Determining Factors Affecting Farmers Agricultural Insurers A Case Study of Akşehir District of Konya Province

The aim of this research is that make agriculture insure and to determine some factors affecting to insurance the producers of Konya province Akşehir province. It has been discussed with 90 producers. The average age of the producers was 49.54. Annual income of producers is 33,168.89 TL. The average land size of producers is 117.47 decares. The producers seem to have the most wheat grown with 43.26 decares. The products that the producers had the most insurance were wheat (35.56%), cherry (32.22%) and plum (21.11) respectively. It was determined that 58.89% of the producers had insured products. The research used to binary logit analysis. As producers insistence on having insurance, the possible ones are; the status of primary school graduates of the producers was determined as the size of the land they had, their annual total incomes and insurance status due to continuous disaster risk.
