Abstract :
In this research, detailed soil survey and mapping studies of the Çiçekdağ – Kırsehir Farmstate soils were carried out. During field studies, ochric epipedon and calcic, gypsic, cambic, argillic, natric subsurface diagnostic horizons were described. Twenty- soil series, belonging to Entisols, Vertisols, Inceptisols and Alfisols and classified into 10 subgroups, were mapped and soil database was prepared. Geographic Information Systems were used effectively and successfully. Additionally, the characteristics and problems of soil series were determined and problem solutions were recommended.
