Abstract :
In this research, fertility and dairy production traits of Holstein cattle breeds reared at Polatlı State Farm was evaluated. The least square means of the lactation milk yield, 305 day milk yield, lactation length and dry period determined were 7473,5±59,6 kg, 6976,1±48,8 kg, 326,5±1,80 day and 82,2±1,58 days, respectively. Year of calving, lactation number and calving season had significant effect (P 0.05) on lactation milk yield, 305 day milk yield, lactation length and dry period. The age at first breeding and age at first calving were calculated as 547,0±3,78 days and 823,9±6,07days, respectively. The least squares means of service period, gestation length, number of service per conception, calving interval were found to be 135,8±3,96 day, 277,6±0,23 day, 1,46±0,03 and 411,2±2,23 days, respectively. While the effects of year of calving, calving season and calving number on calving interval and service period were significant (P 0,05), the effects of seasons on number of service per conception was found to be insignificant, the factor of years and calving number had significant effect on number of service per conception (P 0.05). The effects of year of calving, calving season and calving number on gestation lenght was determined to be insignificant (P 0.05).
