Title Of Article :
DETERMINATION OF POTENTIAL BIOCONTROL ORGANISMS AGAINST Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and S. minor ON SUNFLOWER
Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the antogonistic effects of certain fungi and bacteria collected from the sunflower fields in the Pasinler Plain of Erzurum Province on Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Sclerotiorum minor the causal agents of stem rot of sunflower. The effectiveness of the isolated organisms against S. sclerotiorum and S. minor were determined using in vitro and in vivo tests. The results indicated that the fungal isolates of Alternaria alternata, Penicillium canescens, Penicillium jensenii, Trichoderma harzianum, Ulocladium atrum and Verticillium tenerum, and the bacterial isolates of Bacillus lentimorbus, Bacillus subtilis, Enterobacter pyrinus and Staphylococcus cohnii-cohnii were effective on S. sclerotiorum. However, the isolates of T. harzianum, U. atrum and A. alternata were effective on S. minor.
