Title Of Article :
Determining of suitable sowing time for bread wheats (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties in Mardin Kiziltepe conditions
Abstract :
This research was conducted at the experimental fields of Kiziltepe Vocational High School of MardinArtuklu University in 2011-12 and 2012-13 years to determine effects of different sowing timesapplications on yield and yield componenets of bread wheat. Trial was established randomized complete block design in split plot arrangements with three replications by using three bread wheat varieties(Nurkent, Cemre and Karacadağ-98 cv.) as main plots and sowing times treatments as split plots. Threebread wheat cultivars were sown at three different sowing dates (November 10, 25 and 10 December). Inthe study were investigated the seed yield, biological yield, harvest index, plant height, spike height, seednumber per spike and 1000-seed weight. As the highest grain yield per area was obtained at the Cemre cultivar as 413.3 kg/da and 372.7 kg/da the lowest seed yield was obtained at the Karacadağ-98 cultivar as 302.5 kg/da and300.8 kg/da in years of 2011-12 and 2012-13 respectively. The most suitable sowing time was determined with November 10 in Mardin conditions.
