Title Of Article :
Benefits of geographic information system in precision agriculture: The case of fertilizers
Abstract :
This study was conducted out to determine the required amounts of NPK in precision agriculture byanalyzing those nutrients in soil samples taken from Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute in Bafraplain with the aim of optimum using the agricultural input. For this purposes, a total of 96 samples were taken from 32 different locations and three different depths, and N, P, K analyzes were performed. Byusing the results of analyses maps were established and data for precision agriculture were produced bydetermining N, P, K distributions. The present results indicated that 763 kg/da N would be applied infields where not suffer from N absence but, 313 kg/da N would not be applied in fields needing N inconventional usage. The present results also indicated that unnecessary amount of 355.5 kg P would be applied but 370.2 kg P would not be applied in fields suffering from P absence and there is no Kapplication in the experimental area.
