Abstract :
This research was conducted in the Biotechnology and Research Application Laboratory Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, Ondokuz Mayis University, Samsun-Turkey. In this study Vniimk-17 and Ames-26686 camelina varieties used as a plant material. The root, first internode, 2nd internode, first leaf and 2nd leaf were used as source of explants. Three different media, for plantlets (MS), for callus and tiller induction (ı. MS+0.5 mg/l BAP, ıı. MS+1 g/l BAP, ııı. MS+0.5 g/l NAA, ıv. MS+1 g/l NAA, v. MS+0.5 g/l BAP+0.5 g/l NAA, vı. MS+0.5 g/l BAP+1 g/l NAA, vıı. MS+1 g/l BAP+0.5 g/l NAA ve vııı. MS+1 g/l BAP+1 g/l NAA) and rooting media (ı. MS+1 g/l IAA, ıı. 1/2MS+0.5 g/l IAA, ııı. MS+1 g/l IBA, ıv. MS+0.2 g/l IBA+4g/l Charcol) used. Research results shows that Vniimk-17 variety had produced more number of callus as compared with Ames-26686 variety. In both varieties maximum numbers of callus were observed in root explants. Maximum number of callus were counted MS+1.0 mg/l BAP+1.0 mg/l NAA growth media in both genotypes. The data represent that in both varieties, explant sources and medium maximum number of callus were observed in root explant in all growth medium. The Ames-26686 variety produce more shoot as compared with Vniimk-17 genotype. Ames-26686 genotype produce maximum shoot in MS+1.0 mg/l NAA medium while Vniimk-17 produce maximumshoots in MS+0.5 mg/l NAA medium. Maximum number of shoot were obtained from 2nd internode in MS+1.0 mg/l NAA medium in both varieties.
