Abstract :
According to the purpose for the use of wheat, determination of grain yield along with some quality traits is required. This study was conducted to determine grain yield and some quality traits of 14 bread wheat cultivars in Yozgat ecological conditions between 2010 and 2014 growing seasons. Experiments were carried out in randomized complete block design with three replications. In the trials, plant height, seed yield, 1000 kernel weight, test weight, ash ratio, fat ratio, protein content, starch content, wet gluten content, Zeleny sedimentation values, ADF and NDF values were investigated. According to the three year-average; plant height, grain yield, 1000 kernel weight, test weight of the cultivars were between 60.2–80.3 cm, 290.5–372.2 kg da-1, 29.2–38.4 g, 77.7–79.7 kg, whereas ash ratio, fat ratio,protein content, starch content, wet gluten content, Zeleny sedimentation value, acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) values were 1.62–1.82 %, 1.40–1.91 %, 12.0–13.8 %, 61.6–65.0 %, 23.9– 28.0 %, 21.5–33.1 ml, 3.5–4.4 % and 14.9–16.0 %, respectively. The highest grain yield was obtained from Tosunbey (372.2 kg da-1), Flamura 85 (367.1 kg da-1) and Syrena Odes ka (357.0 kg da-1) cultivars. Additionally, according to the results of biplot graphics analysis; Tosunbey and Syrena Odes’ka cultivars came into prominence in terms of test weight, thousand grain weight, starch content, fat ratio and plant height.
