Abstract :
In this study, it was aimed to analyze the physical properties and ultrasonic velocity variation of the ceramic sanitary ware classified in the building materials, depending on the temperature. For this purpose, applying different sintering temperature to the structure of the ceramic sanitary ware bodies prepared under laboratory conditions, appearent porosity was created and changes in water absorption characteristics depending on this parameter were examined. These samples with different physical properties were investigated by ultrasonic (pulse-echo) test method of the non-destructive testing methods. Calibration curves were designed with obtained ultrasonic velocity values and use of the curves in the estimation physical properties such as water absorption and appearent porosity, depending on the sintering temperature were determined to be suitable.
