Abstract
It becomes more important subject to provide occupation from energy for the countries which provides the most of their energy from foreign countries. The different methods are used to minimize the energy expenses. Nowadays, using the energy more productive and using phase change materials (FDM) for raising ambient thermal comfort gain importance. Temperature of phase change materials (FDMs) is stable during the melting and solidification. Accordingly, a FDM absorbes more energy than the other materials. In this study, eutectic mixtures of fatty acids (capric acid-palmitic acid) that used as an organic PCM core was entegrated in a shell based on naturel polimers gelatine-acacia by using the complex coaservation method and so produced microcapsules. Microencapsulated PCM’s was applied on the %100 polyester fabric that are used as curtain and aimed reducing of heating and cooling load of environment. The morphological and chemical structures and thermal properties of microcapsules were characterized by SEM, FT-IR and DSC, respectively. After the microcapsule application to the textiles, they were tested in a simulated room to determine the thermal regulation. The results demonstrate that textiles recovered thermal comfort of the environment about 0,5-1,5oC.
