The Comparative Analysis of Thermal Bridges in Cavity Walls Applications in Turkey and in European Countries
Abstract :
Within the scope of this study, the cavity walls applications in Turkey and European countries are analyzed for the purposes of reinforced concrete thermal bridges. Based on this purpose, in this study, a residential area which is located in Ataevler district in Nilüfer Province has been chosen. In this residential area, cavity walls system were used as the main insulation system in the building blocks. U values of thermal bridges in the selected examples of the building blocks were calculated, and were graphed heat flow and condensation diagrams. After all, another analysis of the same building components which are adopted to international cavity walls applications are prepared. In the outcome of the study, U values, heat flow and condensation diagrams for the chosen building blocks are described and optimum detail for cavity walls for them is defined.
