Abstract :
Abstract: It is necessary that required education and rehabilitation services for children having cerebral palsy who take place in the physically handicapped group, aiming for the elimination of their movement disorders, improvement of their learning about how to satisfy their vital and social needs should be carried out in the facilities that are specifıcally and appropriately designed for this certain goal. Due to the fact that users of ERCPCs have movement disorders; they differ from the designed for other types of handicapped groups considering the organization and general features of them. The study intends to determine the programming decisions of ERCPC which is a specific facility type because of the functional variety and the users characteristics by using Post Occupancy Evaluation method (POE). For this purpose, it is targeted to find out data on the basis of the functional performance of Metin Sabancı ERCPC that is the first intentionally designed ERCPC in our country, by means of questionnaires based on users’ reviews, observations and interviews. Wıth this study it is aimed to help designing future centers as healthy and qualified environments and also to solve the problems of existing settled environments by using the obtained results from functional performance values of the present center.
