Abstract :
A-59-year-old man, a known case of ischemic heart disease, attended Emergency Department with a chief complaint of abdominal pain. He was an ex-smoker and drank alcohol occasionally. In the abdominal computed tomography scan we noticed swelling of the pancreas and thrombosis in the portal and superior mesenteric vein and in the colour Doppler ultrasonography it showed more clearly. In the work up, the diagnosis of polycythemia vera was made.
