The essay is regarded as a problematic text type in text classifications of text linguistics because of its semantic and formal features. Essay is included in narrative types in some classifications and also it is included in informative types in some of. The reason of this confusion is hidden in the definition of the essay. In the general description of the essay, the author tries to adopt an idea to reader in question without proof. The author gives examples from his/her own experiences and life in the process of accepting his/her thought; this case directs the author towards explaining or informing something about his/her thought.
