Abstract :
This research was designed to examine the predictive role of self-efficacy, attachment to school, peer support, academic success, grade level, taking private courses and income levels of secondary school students in burnout. Data were collected from 438 (240 girls, 198 boys) 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders. Elementary School Student Burnout Scale for Grades 6-8, School Attachment Scale for Children and Adolescents, Perceived Social Support Scale-Peer Support Subscale, General Self-efficacy Scale, Personal Information Form were used to gather data. To find out predictive role of the variables, data were analyzed via Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The analysis indicated that especially attachment to teacher and grade level variables had more predictive role in school burnout. The findings of the research were discussed with regard to relevant literature and suggestions were offered regarding the findings of the study.
