EFFECT OF SPACE ON PERCEPTUAL QUALITY IN A COMPLEX BUILDING: EXAMPLE OF SULEYMAN DEMIREL UNIVERCITY HOSPITAL
Abstract :
A wealth of architectural form in complex structures brings about experiences in the interior space that had never happened before. From this point, the importance of space while maintaining its advantages in functional sense has also activated social and psychological benefits to users. Space offering perceptual and formal differences to users, while sustaining to exhibit the role of a healthy and happy life, has gained a deeper meaning when it come to complex hospital structures. In this study, based on the experience of the effects of space on its users, so as to determine the role in the name of the perception of space, an open exploratory survey questionnaire was administered in the SDU hospital to both an experienced group of 96 people between the ages of 17-25 and an inexperienced group of 96 people between the ages of 17-25. At the end experience of space was proved the role of perception of space and recommendations were made to shed light on future studies.
