Abstract :
Streams have especially penetrated into human life especially in the sense of irrigation of agricultural fields, supply of drinking water and utilizable water and generation of electric power and became an indispensable life resource. In the sense of understanding and evaluating the importance supplied by rivers, hydraulic and hydrological characteristics should be analyzed and evaluated. Therefore in this study, trend analysis application was conducted in selected basins (Western Black Sea basin, Eastern Black Sea basin and Sakarya basin) using rainfall-flow-suspended load data and projections were made. The preferred tests used in order to apply Trend Analysis method are Mann-Kendall and Spearman’s Rho non-parametric tests which are known to be stronger than others. In order to determine the trend beginning year in stations where trend was detected, non-parametric Mann-Kendall degree correlation test was used. In study, the data obtained from stream flow monitoring stations of State Hydraulic Works located in the selected basins (Western Black Sea basin, Eastern Black Sea basin and Sakarya basin).When trend analysis results were examined decreasing trends were coincided in data of some stream flow measurement stations for West Black Sea Basin. In East Black Sea Basin, no trends were coincided in data taken from stream flow measurement stations. On the other hand In Sakarya Basin, decreasing trends were coincided in data taken from some stream flow measurement stations.
