Abstract :
In this study, adhesion properties of polymer concrete that can be used for repair and strengthening of reinforced concrete, was investigated. For this purpose, the concrete was produced as C30/37 specify compressive strength class, splitting tensile test and flexural test were carried out on the concrete specimens. The surface roughness was determined from the fracture surfaces of specimen parts. The each specimen parts was completed with polymer concrete, after the hardening, repetition of splitting tensile and flexural tests were carried out on the concrete specimens. The produced the polymer concretes were used two different types of resins (polyester and vinylester) as binder (matrix), standard CEN sand as phase materials (0%, 50% and %100 rations). It was observed that the matrix / phase material ratio as much as the type of phase material are effective at the physical and chemical properties of polymer concrete, the roughness average (Ra) is more related the root mean square roughness (Rq) and ten point average roughness (Rz) with examined mechanical properties, and component of polymer concrete at the adherence properties is more effective in than surface characteristics.
