INVESTIGATION OF HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES IMPACTS ON SAKARYA RIVER TO RIVER FLOW REGIME
Abstract :
Dams on the rivers they were built give rise to significant changes over time in characteristics such as capacity of Hydrological, morphological and sediment transport. In this study, after being built Sarıyar, Yenice and Gokcekaya demand hydroelectric power plant (hepp) and (weir)in the middle Sakarya Basin, the hydraulic changes occurring in the (lower Sakarya River), were investigated. For the cases before and after operating the full capacity of each dam, changes the flow of the river are examined one by one. The values of Botbaşı and Dogancay on the lower Sakarya river and the current changes of each dam before and after the date of receipt of operating are shown in graphs. In addition, possible changes of flood are studied using maximum instant flood belonging both stations. When the results were analyzed; It has been shown to regulate the river regime while decreasing peak river discharge on the river.
