Abstract :
Polymers, used in many fields with their own special structure, are taken place widespread in construction as well as in other sectors today. Polymer concrete, gained importance in recent years, has also found a wide usage area in the world. It is frequently used especially in the damaged buildings to strength and to repair as a fixing material. Polymer concrete can be used as reinforcing and repairing as well as architectural building element using coloring additives pigment. If colored concrete is used in the construction elements in the building, its workability, strength and durability properties gain more importance.This study aims at achieving a better understanding of pigment paste and sand (standard CEN sand “SCS”) used as phase material polymer concrete and exploring its potential properties. The main objective is to assess the impact of parameters such as amount and type of phase material on mechanical and physical properties as experimental. The polymer concrete samples were produced using three different phase ratios and two different resin types. The samples produced using the pigment paste showed lower unit weight and mechanical properties than the polymer concrete produced without SCS and phase material. At the polymer concretes with SCS, it is obtained that the amount of phase material was increased at unit weight and compressive strength, while the bending strength values were reduced.
