ENERGY ANALYSIS A THERMAL POWER PLANT
Abstract :
Studied in this study, “Yatağan Thermal Power Plant” is located Muğla in Yatağan. This thermal plant has 3 units with 210 MW. The first law of thermodynamics applied for boiler steam turbine and the other equipments, and energy analysis of the system by establishing mass and energy balance. These calculations are made by taking the actuel data of the factory. According to the results, the energy efficiency of the system was found to be 35.2%. The effect of Low Pressure Turbine (LPT), Medium Pressure Turbine (MPT) and High Pressure Turbine (HPT) on temperature change power generation and energy efficiency in the system has been investigated. Also, when is using high quality coal, power generation and efficiency will increase. Energy efficiency of the power plant has been found % 35,2 according to the obtained result.
