Abstract
The purpose of this work is the study of a commercially available multi-crystalline silicon photovoltaic module’s power decrease under varying shading with and without bypass diode. Some module parameters; efficiency, fill factor and power difference are analysed using the current voltage curves for both conditions. It is shown that the power loss decreased from 77.88% to 45.35% plugging bypass diode to the module under 2.7% shading of the module area.
