We were asked 15 questions to participants and the answers were interpreted with statistical analysis. According to the results obtained; Science decreased proportion of students choosing in high school; students will make their choices based on employment after graduation, therefore they will not choose biology and applied fields of biology (except for Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, bioengineering etc.) and the basic sciences; but If the employment problem is solved, students preferences can be changed in favor of basic science. The city s size, geographic location, University s social opportunities are effective in the preferred. In the solution of employment problems are expected incentives from Ministry of Health, Ministry of National Education, Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and so on. The solution of the problem is urgent. In basic science problem also affects other areas, there is concern that the higher education affect adversely. Ministry of Education should raise with at least service training of their teachers level of knowledge and experience. Students merit and interests to occupations should be explored and should be routed. Faculty of Education is generally lacking infrastructure and teaching staff to teacher training, it can be completed with the Faculty of Science and Arts should be considered. We should not be viewed only in terms of employment issues to this subject. Biology curriculum should be rearranged according to the needs of the day in higher education, should give weight to the application rather than philosophical and theoretical issues. Updating the curriculum by taking radical decisions should be restructured again. In terms of the coordination of programs, Council of Higher Education should lead to this application. Supply-demand balance must be observed to determine the quota. Conditions should be improved further for foreign students.
