The purpose of this dissertation is to provide information about effects, reasons and risks of outsourcing in the accomodation businesses. Additionally the work aims to describe how the outsourcing process is applied to business activities and how these processes are or should be managed. The provided information is supported by literature and discussions with accomodation businesses. By focusing on fundamental functionalities and working with specialized companies in fields that are outside of its specialization, businesses can obtain a significant advantage over other businesses. Consequently, we present face-to-face interviews with 4 and 5 star hotels in Ankara. By means of these interviews, the intention is to determine the view of hotel administrations on the outsourcing concept, the hotels’ preferences over which services to outsource, and the reasons behind decision making processes for outsourcing.
