  • Abstract
    There are three keys to future continuing success for companies. They are anticipation, innovation and excellence. Until today, in this subject Total Quality Management(TQM), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Statistical Engineering, Lean Six Sigma and Operational Research have been developed to process improvement as a useful business methodology and philosophy. The purpose of this paper, firstly is to explain the methods which are used in process improvement and how their emerged. Secondly is to put forward the similarities and differences between them. İn this purpose direction, the process improvement methods are compared in terms of their origin and theory, process view and approach, methodologies, tools and their effects and many similarities found between them. Furthermore, process improvement methods provide some benefits for companies for instance; excellent quality, customer satisfaction, no defects, remove waste and gains. The benefits and the significance of the customer value creation business philosophy are determined in our study.
