EFFECTS OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT ON EMPLOYMENT IN TURKEY: TIME SERIES ANALYSIS
Abstract :
In this study, the effect of foreign direct investment (FDI) on the employment in Turkey has been analyzed. The analysis used data from the period 1980-2011, the ADF unit root test, the PP unit root test, Johansen cointegration test and Granger causality tests has been applied. According to analysis results, there is no a significant relationship between FDI inflow and employment in Turkey. In other words, There is a positive relationship between the FDI inflow and employment., the validity of this hypothesis has not been confirmed for Turkey.
