Abstract
The aim of the research is to reveal whether job satisfaction or happiness at workplace has more effect on labour-intensive workers’ extra role behaviour. The survey analysed by means of structural equation modelling has been conducted among 261 workers from 3 different factories producing lumber and food. According to the findings, there is no direct effect of internal and external job satisfaction on extra role behaviour; however, workplace happiness has a direct and strong effect on extra role behaviour. Besides, among job satisfaction variables, only internal satisfaction has a meaningful and positive effect on happiness variable. As a result of the research it can be inferred that willingness of the workers for extra role behaviour depends on workplace happiness rather than job satisfaction.
