Abstract :
“5S”; is basically a lean production technique that focuses on the reduction and removing of the unnecessary materials, minimizing the problems to reach them and organizing the working area. Studies of “5S” underlie the lean production. The fact that this technique provides an opportunity to create an effective working environment has led to common implementation of it especially in corporate companies. In addition to the physical qualities of working environments; the suitability of them in terms of ergonomic and effective use and that the employees feel secure are all important for the system of the workplace and the expectations of the employees. In other words, one of the most important objectives of this discipline is to make the employees not be indifferent to their environment and notice the waste. In this study, the 5S implementations that were put into practice in Selva Inc. were discussed to exemplify the implementations of 5S technique.
