Abstract :
Objective: This descriptive study aims to evaluate anger and anger expression style of hypertensive patients applied to the district health center. Methods: Data were collected using the “Trait Anger and Anger Expression Scale” and Individual Identity Form and evaluated by percentage, mean, standard deviation, variance and “t”-test. Results and Conclusion: The mean score of trait anger was 21.13±6.61. For this mean score, education, socioeconomic status, exercises, stress of hypertension, mental disorder, perceived mental and physical health found effective factors. Likewise, the mean score of anger include was 19.44±4.94. The effective factors were found to be gender, living place, education, working status, socioeconomic status, exercises, stress of hypertension, using alcohol, perceived mental and physical health. The mean score of anger exclude was 13.10±4.49. The effective factors were found to be gender, individuals who lives together with, working status, diet, smoking, mental disorder, perceived mental and physical health. The mean score of anger control was 23.40±4.97. For this mean score, diet, mental disorder, perceived mental health were found effective factors.
