مرکز منطقه ای اطلاع رساني علوم و فناوري - DETERMINATION OF STATUS OF APPLYING THE PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOURS OF NURSING STUDENTS

Abstract :

Objective: This descriptive study was made with the aim to determine the states of apply the professional behaviors of nursing students. Methods: The sample was consisted of 286 students training in 3rd and 4th class of Ege University Faculty of Nursing and agreed to participate in research. The data were collected by using student identification form and Nursing Students Professional Behaviours Scale (PDUDBÖ). ANOVA, t test, and Kruskal-Wallis test was used in analysis of the data. Results: The majority (68.5%) of the students participating in the research were in the 20-22 age group, and 14% of them were men, 56.6% of them graduated from anatolian/super high school. The mean score of the scale was found 116.73+ 13.62 (min. 40, max.35). It was determine that the mean scores of the NSPBS were higher in 4th grade students than 3rd grade students. The mean scores of the NSPBS were higher in students who graduated from anatolian /super high school than the other students. The mean scores of the NSPBS were higher in students who love the profession of nursing than students who do not love the profession of nursing. Conclusion: It was determine that the nursing students have high level applying the professional behaviours. Some socio-demographic factors had influence on level of applying the professional behaviours of students.
