Abstract :
Objective: Manager-employee relations intensively studied in recent years, managers, based on the exchange of information, interact with, open, supportive and reassuring response to a management approach based on voluntary employees behaviors are exhibited more. Health services can be served more efficiently, managers of nurses further their employee satisfaction, employee turn over has become a major problem particularly in the health establishments to reduce the nurses job satisfaction, organizational commitment and to increase performance, organizational citizenship behavior exhibited by the administrator of nurses in the workplace of employees to be familiar with the foresight is important. In this respect, this study of nurses working in a public hospital in order to examine the level of organizational citizenship in a descriptive study. Methods: In the study agreed to participate in research at a public hospital and the nurses were working. Data were collected and prepared by researchers including socio-demographic characteristics of nurses, Personal Information Form and Altun and Baykal (2010) will be used by the reliability and validity of the “Organizational Citizenship Level Scale (OCLS)”. The data required written permission for the research institution, 01 March-15 March 2011 between the dates collected by the researchers. Analysis of the data, using SPSS program, the number, percentage distribution and analysis of variance were done. Results and Conclusion: According to the research, the nurses were very high levels of organizational citizenship. The average age of nurses working in the profession and increased with increasing levels of OCLS, OCLS other nurses were higher than the nurses in charge of, scrupulousness, and to help the working sub-dimension of internal medicine clinic, praising the institution, information and participation in running the administration sub-dimension, tolerance and scale than the total of nurses working in emergency found to have high OCLS.
