Abstract :
While urge aggression finds different ways for discharging, it can be seen as violence in individuals whom ego integrity was damaged. Patients with mental disorder are aggressor, and at the same time victims. That is necessary to know relationships between aggression and mental disorders, violence and aggression risk for patients with mental disorder, and to provide awareness for protecting themselves, health team members, patients and patients families. Databases Academic Search Complete (EBSCOHOST) and ScienceDirect were used, and literature scanned between 2005- 2012 by giving priority in this article. Aggression and violence in public studies of psychotic disorders, mood disorders, organic mental disorders, personality disorders, and alcohol and substance use disorders were examined. As a result of studies have examined self- harm and suicide were more common in some mental disorders, and aggression and violence towards others and enviroment were more common in another mental disorders. Also patients founded victims of violence.
