Abstract
The importance of concepts of power and empowerment be focused today, for increase the job satisfaction and the quality of care in nursing. Nurses, have experienced difficulty to feel powerful themselves throughout nursing history. In this paper, the concept of power, types of power, nursing power, the concept of empowerment, empowerment species and empowerment in nursing are discussed. The aim of this paper is to ensure the concepts of power and empowermen tare analyzed and be understood the relationship between these concepts in nursing. That understanding of the importance of the concepts of power and empowerment in nursing can help to strengthening of nurses and to awareness of their existing power to be expected.
