Abstract :
Objective: This study was made to determine the quality of work life and quality of life ofexecutive nurses who are work in hospitals the central ofManisa.Methods: The study includes supervisor, chief nurse and executive nurses who are work inhospitals the central of Manisa between March I, to April 30, 2012. Personal information form,Quality of Nursing Work Life Scale and WHOQOL-Brief (Tr) Quality of Life Scales were applied tonurses who accepted to participate the study. For the analysis of data that obtained SPSS 15.00 wasused. To evaluate the data, mean, standard deviation, percentage, correlation, ANOVA, chi-squaretest and logistic regression analysis were performed. For internal consistency of the scales werefounded Cronbach s alpha coefficients.Results: The characteristics of executive nurses; 57.5% in the age group of 31-39, 79.8%married, 53.2% of the economic situation as medium, 76.6% the job experience of more than 10years, and 70.2% 5 years and less managerial experience were founded. 63.8% of executive nursesgeneral health perception good and 52.1% their quality of work life in the medium leveldetermined. The mean quality of life of executive nurses; physical 14:43 ± 2.0 1, mental 14.68 ± 1.93,social 14.68 ±2.11, the environmental 13:48 ± 1.67 and quality of work life total score 143.37 ±16.07.Quality of work life of nurses who are work in private hospital is the highest and the differencewas statistically significant (p = 0.0.03). The work-life scores of married nurses were significantlyhigher than those of single (p = 0.050). Nurse managers general health perception very goodquality of life domain scores higher than those and were significant differences (p = 0.000).Conclusion: Executive nurses who are high quality of work life were founded the subdimensionsof quality of life, also and significant.
