THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF PATIENTS FROM NURSING SERVICES
Abstract :
Objective: This descriptive research was designed to determine the level of satisfaction of patients for nursing care.Methods: Reseach sample was consisted of 835 patients who were inpatient minimun 3 days and determined to be discharged, lettered, orally communicate and volunteer to participate in study; in a university hospital in izmir between 11^st February and 29^th March 2013. The data was collected with the data collection form developed by authors and Scales of Satisfaction for Nursing Care developed by Demir and Eser. The statistically data analysis was performed with SPSS for Windows 16.0 by number, percentage, Spearman Correlation analysis, Mann Whitney U andKruska/1 Wallis analysis.Results: It was determined that the total satisfaction point of the patients participated this study was 147.76±20.29. It was seen that the level of satisfaction of patients for nursing care was affected by age, gender, social insurance, type of hospital admission, status of being operated and length of hospital stay.Conclusion: As a result, it was determined that the satisfaction levels for nursing care of patients included in the study were high level.
