An Assessment On The Higher Education Thesis On Arabic Language And Its Rethoric In The Faculties Of Theology

In this study, 307 theses and dissertation (MA and PhD) done on Arabic in Turkey between 1978-2009 years were surveyed. These works were reached through the databasesis of National Thesis Centre of the Council of Higher Education, and the Theses Catalogue of ISAM. In order to conduct statistical analysis the themes of similar works were classified using Dewey classification and American LC systems. The classifications shaped two main divisions one being more detailed the other is less detiled. Statistical analysis was conducted on the second devision with robust findings as the first division was too sofisticated for the analysis.The data which were obtained through classification were exposed to Chi Square test and correlations with SPSS statistical program. The thesis and dissertations along with the authors and their characteristics were described findings were introduced systematically.
