Abstract :
Baudelaire accepted as the forerunner of symbolism in XIXth Century is a poet whose poetry taken on a global scale is impressive. His influence is certainly associated with his creation of an aesthetic of poetry in which he includes evil. With the great influence of Christian-Catholic faith in his family, Baudelaire believes that he was corrupted by the original sin and he is sure that he was born as sinful. Therefore, his poems make his audiences face with every kind of evil in the world, but in fact mostly face them with the sin and the religious dimension of evil. In his individual fate, he exhibits the fate of Christian Catholic world’s people and dead ends of his fate, and he constructs the aesthetic of poetry on the tension between “The Good and The Evil”, “The Spleen and The Ideal”, “God and Devil”, “The Earth and The Sky”, ”Heaven and Hell”. The hell which has an important place with the images “abyss”, “well” and “hole” in the poems of Baudelaire is a world hell in large measure. It is an abyss where he fell, having been torn from the divine protection, and where it was soaked with sin. But the poet who continues to nurture an aspiration to an ideal in this world where it is exposed to incurable trouble, do not neglect the other by petting a dream of paradise that he hopes to achieve.
