Abstract :
In his novel series, In Search of Lost Time, Marcel Proust emphazises the evolution of the novel as a literary genre from the end of 19th century to the beginning of 20th century. In each series of the novel, which includes seven, it is easy to understand that the narrator is Marcel Proust. Each novel of the cycle is not completely independent; there is a connection between each other. In Albertine Gone, the sixth novel of the cycle, the hero tries to make Albertine return, but he learns the accidental death of the girl. After this moment, the author explains suffering, forgetting and the process of literary creation. Proust as the narrator tries to discover the found time.It is the capability of retention that allows us to remember past states of consciousness. At the origin of the literary creation, Proust stays under the influence of a long metamorphosis. The involuntary memory creates assets and things again, but it causes the character to suffer. Thanks to the creative impacts of memory Marcel gets rid of the suffering, and discovers the importance of found time. Semi-wakefulness prepares the literary creation of Marcel. In Albertine Gone, emotional memories and Albertine s death create the source of pain, then the forgetting. In each novel of the series, In Search of Lost Time, Proust intends to adapt an old experience. It is the author as a main character that the narrator talks about. The involuntary memory forms the basis of the novel, In Search of Lost Time. The hero is anonymous as is the parent. The narrator talks about the lifes of the hero and the other characters. When the work is narrated from the first person point of view, we have the impression that the narrator is the main character. He appears as the continuation of the hero. In In Search of Lost Time, we see the narrative style of Proust, rather than the narrator, because there is no such narrator in this work. It is only the part of the work, the creation of the author. In this work, psychoanalysis is, delicately, discussed
