Abstract :
This work, which aims to study the processes of translation of Jean Paul Vinay and Jean Darbelnet whose theories are in principle based on the equivalence, is a comparative study of translation. Our goal is to study the functioning of the equivalence between the source and target text to see the semantic relationships in translational activity.In this way, we analyzed and explained the terms of translation studies proposed by Vinay and Darbelnet regarding the definitions and classifications considered from many comparative examples without context described to try to apply the principles of translationVinay and Darbelnet. So that we can easily say that we have found that the translation procedures that have been defined and classified by J.-P. Vinay and J. Darbelnet are essential in translating activity.
