An Unknown Poet of Ottoman Divan Literature in the 16th Century: Sâdık

In this article, Dîvân, the only known work of Sâdık Ahmed bin Yûsuf “a poet of III. Murâd period” (d. 1538 ?), is introduced. In the first part, some other information about the poet’s occupation and life are examined. In addition to these, the poet’s literary personality is presented, and it is detected that, his poems are generally written in tevhit and naat. Sâdık is also known as a poet who wrote poems in Chaghatais.
