The Establishment Process of Mavera Literary Magazine

Abstract :
Mavera is a culturel and literary review which was published 164 issues between 1976-1990. Cahit Zarifoglu, Erdem Bayazit, Rasim Ozdenoren, Alâeddin Ozdenoren, Mehmet Akif İnan and Ersin Nazif Gurdogan pioneered the establishment of this literary magazine in order to recreate Islamic sensibility in a literary backgorund. The poets and authors who belong to Mavera company, stuck to the line of Buyuk Dogu, Dirilis and Edebiyat literary magazines and they were in a sterenous effort in order to carry the flag which they took over from their masters further. The founders of this magazine contributed to the growth of young authors and artists. In this article, the factors which moved the founder poets and authors to establish Mavera literary magazine have been analyzed. Moreover in this study the story of this establishment has been researched.
