Basic Rights of the Elderly in the Context of the Welfare State in Germany
Abstract :
The main aim of this paper is to explain and discuss the fundamental rights of elder people in Federal Republic of Germany from the welfare state point of view. To achieve the aim, firstly, the concepts of welfare and welfare state are explained and identified. Secondly, the Gernany welfare state and the concept of right are discussed. In addition, the fundamental rights of elder people in Germany are investigated. It is concluded that the care of elder people and elder rights in Germany are in accordance with the welfare state requirements when it is compared with the current systems of welfare states, and it can also be seen as a model system.
