Analysis of Secondary and High School Students’ Trust in Principal and Teachers
Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the secondary and high school students’ trust in principals and teachers. The data were collected with “Trust in Teachers Scale” and “Trust in Principals Scale”. Participants were 711 students (402 secondary and 309 high school students) attending to schools in central district of Malatya province during 2012-2013 school year. Data were analyzed using t test, one way analysis of variance and correlational statistics. The results of the analysis revealed that students’ level of trust in their teachers and principals differed significantly by their gender and grade level. A significant positive and medium level of correlation was established between secondary students’ trust in their teachers and trust in their principals. Also a significant positive and high level of correlation was found between high school students’ trust in their teachers and trust in their principal.
