Abstract :
Anthrax is a zoonosis transmitted from herbivorous animals to humans. This disease in Turkey, especially in rural areas are particularly common among livestock. The most common from is cutaneous anthrax. Penicillin has been used to treat the disease for many years. But in recent years ciprofloxacin is recommended to bioterrorism attacks with the penicillin-resistant strains. In this paper, anthrax and its bioterrorism-related features are reviewed with the current literature.
