  • Abstract
    In this paper, we test for persistence in Turkey current account deficit. This paper studies the time series properties of Turkey current deficits during 1991-2012 period, using the unit root tests for shortrun dependency. We conclude that the fluctuations in Turkey current deficits exhibit persistence. Our findings point out to continue the current deficit persistency in the future. The results suggest that should take structural precautions towards current deficit problem.
